Today, Royal Caribbean became the next cruise line to announce that its entire fleet had resumed service. All 26 cruise ships in the Royal Caribbean fleet are now back on the high seas cruising with passengers.

The line’s Rhapsody of the Seas was the last vessel to return to operations. The ship is offering 7-night Mediterranean cruises from Rome for the summer 2022 season.

To mark the occasion of the ship’s return Royal Caribbean hosted a Facebook Live event complete with a special check-in from each of its ships:

The first Royal Caribbean ship to resume cruising was Quantum of the Seas, offering short cruises to nowhere in December 2020. The line resumed in North America as Adventure of the Seas began offering cruises from Nassau in June 2021.

Royal Caribbean has since then slowly brought back 24 more of its vessels for cruises in Europe, Alaska, and the Caribbean. During this time they debuted, Wonder of the Seas, their largest cruise ship to date and current title holder of the ‘World’s Largest Cruise Ship’.
