MSC Cruises announces its groundbreaking plans to unveil the largest and most luxurious MSC Yacht Club concept on North American shores with the launch of MSC World America in April 2025. This revolutionary addition signifies a significant leap forward for the cruise line's esteemed World-Class platform, promising to redefine the cruising experience with tailored venues and concepts explicitly catered to the discerning tastes of the U.S. market.

 

Setting a new standard in cruising, MSC World America will introduce seven distinct onboard districts, providing guests of all ages with the opportunity to curate their own adventure and maximize their time onboard like never before.

Highlights of the MSC Yacht Club on MSC World America include:

Expansive sundeck – Guests will have plenty of room to relax and enjoy sea views with an outdoor space spanning two decks. The lower deck will feature a bar and grill with an expanded seating area where guests can grab a bite to eat for breakfast and lunch or enjoy a cocktail while watching the sunset. The upper deck is the perfect private oasis for lounging by the pool, taking a dip in the hot tub or unwinding in a stylish private cabana. For the first time, MSC Yacht Club guests aboard MSC World America will be able to table service from the nearby bar and grill throughout the full sundeck area.

Multi-room Owner Suites—Exclusive to the World Class ships, the ultra-luxurious Owner Suites offer a beautifully decorated bedroom with a walk-in wardrobe and luxurious bathroom with a full-sized imperial bathtub. A separate living and dining area with floor-to-ceiling windows opens onto a spacious private terrace complete with a hot tub and al fresco dining area.

Double-balcony Duplex SuitesMSC World America’s MSC Yacht Club will contain duplex suites spanning two decks perfect for families or larger groups traveling together. On the lower deck, the dining and living areas offer ample space for relaxation with the added convenience of a guest bathroom. Upstairs, the main bedroom comes complete with its own bathroom. The suites also offer plenty of outdoor space with two private sundecks, a private hot tub, a seating and lounge area, and an upper deck for sunbathing.

As MSC Cruises prepares to launch MSC World America in April 2025, passengers can anticipate voyages to the idyllic Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve, the cruise line's private island in The Bahamas. Enhancements to the island, scheduled for completion before the ship's inaugural voyage, will include expansions to the exclusive Ocean House bar and restaurant, reserved solely for MSC Yacht Club guests. Moreover, guests can indulge in the tranquility of a private beach area equipped with sunbeds and cabanas, complete with personalized butler service for the ultimate island retreat experience.

The new World Class ship’s signature plumb bow will rise vertically from the waterline, and her Y-shaped aft will open onto the impressive outdoor World Promenade. Ship environmental information

Upon its launch, MSC World America is poised to emerge as a frontrunner in eco-conscious cruising, boasting an exceptional level of energy efficiency that exceeds the stringent standards set by the International Maritime Organization's Energy Efficiency Design Index (EEDI). Equipped with state-of-the-art engines, the vessel is projected to slash greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) by a remarkable 20 percent, accompanied by an 85 percent reduction in nitrogen oxide emissions and a near eradication of sulfur oxide and particulate emissions. Furthermore, the ship's adaptable nature allows it to operate on Bio-LNG and Synthetic Renewable LNG fuels, both of which have the potential to achieve a staggering 100 percent reduction in greenhouse gas emissions.

Elevating environmental stewardship to unprecedented heights, MSC World America employs advanced wastewater treatment systems that surpass the standards of many municipal treatment facilities worldwide. The vessel adheres to the stringent regulations set forth by the International Maritime Organization, including the rigorous Baltic standard. Additionally, the vessel is outfitted with cutting-edge waste management technologies designed to minimize, reuse, and recycle onboard waste.

In a concerted effort to mitigate the environmental impact of its operations, MSC Cruises has made significant strides in reducing the intensity of its ship operations by 33.5 percent since 2008, well on track to achieving a 40 percent reduction ahead of the IMO 2030 target. Going beyond conventional operational efficiencies, the company is actively embracing emerging technologies and exploring avenues for transitioning to non-carbon and renewable fuels. Collaborative efforts with fuel providers and strategic partners are underway to facilitate the adoption of Bio-LNG and Synthetic Renewable LNG soon, underscoring MSC Cruises' unwavering commitment to sustainable innovation in the maritime industry.
