Shipmate Rolls Out New Design for Cruise Price Searching
At Shipmate, we’re always on the hunt for ways to make the experience of using the app easier for our community and help you plan your dream cruise.
We’re proud to announce new design changes and better cruise searching options for iOS users. Android users - We haven't forgotten you! This feature will soon be available on Android devices - check back soon!
We’ve always had cruise searching tools on Shipmate, but now we’re making it even more simple to find the best sailings and deals with a new Find a Cruise tool. This advanced cruise searching function will allow you to view and sort through the thousands of cruises from the numerous lines that we offer.
Find a Cruise features the capability to search cruises by destination, sail month, length, port, cruise line, ship, and sail dates. Our newly-redesigned tool will allow you to plug in what parameters you would like to search and then display all the available cruises that meet the selected criteria.
Here’s How to Use Find a Cruise:
1. Open the Shipmate app, and you will see a new search tool on the bottom right of the app selection toolbar. It will appear as a magnifying glass with a dollar sign and the text ‘DEALS’. Select this option.
2. Immediately, you will be prompted with the new cruise searching tools. The top toolbar of the page, indicated under the words ‘DEALS’, will offer your cruise search selection options. You can search cruises by Length, Sail Month, Port, Cruise Line, and Ship. To toggle, use the options displayed in the toolbar or choose ‘More Filters’ for additional options.
3. The Sort button and filters icon both offer additional cruise search tools. By selecting Sort, you can choose to view recommended cruises, search by pricing (low to high/high to low), price per night, cruise length, or the sail date. The filter icon allows you to search between destination, sail month, length, port, cruise line or ship.
4. Found a cruise that strikes your fancy? Tap that option, and then you will be directed to a new page with information on the pricing (which you can select by cabin type), itinerary, and even options to discover the ship within Shipmate.
Want to save the sailing to view later? Tap the heart icon in the top right corner of the screen to ‘favorite’ it. The ribbon icon you will see on the Search results page will display all cruises that have been selected as favorites.
5. Select the blue 'View Deal' button if you’re ready to learn even more. You will then be directed to the cruise line or our partner page to get more details or begin the booking process.
New Way to Access Your Shipmate Profile
In incorporating this new Find a Cruise tool, we’ve had to make some minor design changes to what longtime users have grown accustomed to seeing in Shipmate and how to access one’s profile.
Previously, users could access their Shipmate profile directly via a button on the bottom right of the screen. We’ve made an update to this design but still allow you to view your profile from any page on Shipmate.
Here’s How to Find the Updated Profile Tab Page on Shipmate:
1. Open the Shipmate app and toggle to any page. You will now see a Profile icon in the top left corner on the top left of your screen. You will tap to select this option to view your Profile details.
2. Once you select to view your Profile, all options on this page remain the same. The Profile page will still allow you to access your reviews and photos, list of Shipmates, direct messages, posts, booked excursions, update settings, access the help center, your Shipmate ranking, and all the features this page has always provided.
If you would like to update your photo or profile details use the gear icon (see squared in red above) in the upper right-hand of the screen. This will launch the edit profile option, where you can update your username, email, and other personal details.
We hope you find these new design options on Shipmate easy to use, informative, and help you better plan your next dream cruise!
