Shipmate Debuts Photo Explorer

Interested in taking a look at the food before you decide to make a reservation at a specialty restaurant? Wonder what a specific cabin might look like before you book? Want to check out your ship’s pools, bars, spa, and waterslides to get excited about an upcoming cruise? Shipmate has introduced a new photo category explorer option that makes it easier than ever to look at the exact pictures you want to see for specific cruise ships. 

One of Shipmate’s greatest assets is the thousands of photos community members have submitted. The photos section is not only a great way to share your cruise experience, but can also be a great tool to use to help plan your voyage. Photos give a real look at the ship from the perspective of a fellow cruiser, and allow you to see a wide variety of features before you even step onboard.  

Shipmate’s new ship photo category sorting option allows you to narrow down all the images we have down into individual cruise ships, and even a step further to individual ship features like entertainment, dining, bars, children’s areas, casino, and more. 

Find the Photo Category Explorer Options:

1. Open Shipmate and go to the Photos section. 
2. Under the ‘Photos’ label tab at the top, three options will appear: ‘All’, ‘Ships’ and ‘Ports’

Here’s how to use the new ship photo sorting function on Shipmate:

1. Select the middle Photo Explorer option ‘Ships’. 
2. Select your requested Cruise Line. 
3. A new page will open and you can select the Cruise Ship.

4. From there you can select to see photos from a number of options. 

• If you want to see all the photos from that ship, click ‘All’. 
• If you would like to see photos of a specific category, go to that category and click the box on the right. 
• Once you’ve chosen your selected category click the ‘SHOW’ button on the top right of your screen.

5. All of the photos for that category will appear on your screen. Want to select another category, click the ‘SHIPS’ button once again and you will be prompted to select another option.
