Recipe: Celebrity Cruises’ Pear-Rose Martini
To celebrate Celebrity Cruises’ 20th anniversary, Junior Merino, known as the “Liquid Chef,” created this martini to be served exclusively on Celebrity cruise ships. The fruity cocktail concoction can be found in the line’s Martini Bar and Molecular Bar. It’s a sweet mix of pear-flavored vodka and Champagne that’s infused with rose, lime, and (surprise!) sage, then topped with an unforgettable passion fruit-flavored foam. One sip, and we had to have the recipe.
We were excited to learn that the foam — which would certainly be the hardest part to duplicate at home — is something you can buy online. Celebrity shared the drink recipe, and a link to a source for the foam, with us, and we expect it will be a huge hit at our next party … and yours, too.
Celebrity Cruises 20th-Anniversary Martini Recipe
2 ounces Grey Goose pear vodka
1 ounce Brut Champagne
¾ ounce lime juice
¾ ounce Dainzu rose-flavored syrup
Ginger passion foam
3 sage leaves
You’ll need a cream whipper, like this iSi mini whipper sold at Williams-Sonoma.com.
Pour all ingredients except the Champagne into a cocktail shaker with ice, and shake. Pour the Champagne into the shaker and strain into a martini glass.
Fill the mini whipper with the foam. Garnish your cocktail with a swirl of pink froth, and top it with a sage leaf.
