Cruise tips
Rome is stunning and so much to see a do. If possible allow two days or more here. We did four days and there's still more to see on another trip. Stay in the center and you can walk to most of the attractions. If going to the Vatican go first thing in the morning and the Trevi fountain is quieter (and more beautiful with the lights) at night. Advance tickets for the Colosseum are best and the bus tour is an excellent way of seeing all the major site.
