Carnival Victory

We have sailed as a couple in 2005 with Holland America. It has been a such great moment, that we wanted our kids to experience it. Then, we booked a cruise during Spring Break on the Carnival Victory, the only cruise line offering a trip in our dates of holiday. We were all excited by our choice, because Carnival Ships have a great review for a family vacation. The ship is great, the accommodation is nice, the food good and the entertainment very funny and complete. I might regret maybe a lack of activities for the teens. Maybe because of the size of the ship (3,500 guests), the service staff is a little distant, not as friendly as one can expect. The service in the dining room was very courteous but cold. Our waiter was giving us the impression that he wanted us to dine as quick as possible. We are French and in the French way of life the meal is the occasion for the family to gather and share the events of the day. It's a real social time. But that's a small detail and that didn't affect very much the overall good impression of that trip.
