Golden Princess
Sail date: July 05, 2008
nice rooms, below average food quality
This ship should not be on an alaska route. It is clearly designed for a warmer climate with many of the ammenities (bars and eating areas outside around pool areas). The food quality was below average to poor in general at both the dining seatings and buffet. The presentation of food was on average poor. The ship ammenities were average or below average but the entertainment was definitly lacking. There was few 'big show' type of productions. Locations were often changed with little notice and lounge bands were of the 3 1/2 star hotel variety. The pursers office was always lined up with rarely more than 2 long faced agents serving long lines. I could go on but whats the point... we will give princess one more chance in a warmer climate. The ships rating on Vacations to Go is 4.5. Clearly this was a 4 or lower at best. Princess Cruises are in my opinion are not doing there cruise line any favours by offering this ship and itinerary.
