14-22 April 2018 for a cruise on the Carnival Miracle. The ship itself was okay. As a smaller vessel it does lack many of the features of the larger class ships but it had what I needed for rest and relaxation. My issue was with the crew assigned during that period. Upon arriving I noticed that none of the normal welcome items were in my room. Upon asking the room steward he told me he would “get to it.” Items didn’t arrive until after I returned from dinner. First time this has ever happened. The lack of service continued with Guest Services. Whenever I asked the one tall female a question she audibly sighed, rolled her eyes and called someone else on the phone then handed me the phone. She needs to be removed from any customer service position. Whenever I asked a question of any of the crew I was frequently told “that’s not my job” and then the person would walk away. I have never experienced this lack of level of customer support from Carnival in my eight years cruising with them. Truly a disappointment and hopefully not a new trend.
