Carnival Triumph

The ship itself is mostly nice. It is clean and has some beautiful areas. However the hallways and theater seats are dreary and could use updating. The whirlpools (all 7) were out of order completely. The staterooms are relatively spacious and are kept clean. When it became clear that we could not continue to St John due to Hurricane Bill, the ship turned back 24 hours after we left New York. We were back off Long Island by the next afternoon. Rather than letting us off, the ship went in a circle, off Long Island from Saturday afternoon until early Monday morning. This was despite very heavy surf and some scary moments at the height of the storm. It was a miserable experience.
