Carnival Ecstasy

When you first see the Carnival Ecstasy it is a nice clean ship. Looks fun, all that Carnival would offer you think. As soon as you get on the ship you have to wait about 1hr or more to be able to see your rm. Which was fine, because you want to explore the ship anyway. But a huge disappointment to us was (we thought we just weren't going to the right place) when we only saw 1 pool for a ship of 2,000+ people. We also went at my guess one of the busiest times of yr. : Mid July. The pool is cram packed with people at all hours of the day. If you want to go to the pool, you pretty much need to visit during dinner hour, if you are willing to miss it, to have leg room, really ANY room in the pool. There were 2 hot tubs by the pool, which are packed with children at all times. These hot tubs were also WAY too hot. Would almost scorch your skin getting in them. The 2 'Adult' tubs they had at the back of the ship were not even functioning properly.. being at about lukewarm temperature. This was our first day impression thus far. Then our room was very nice for what we paid i think. Tight quarters, but alright. We dont like to be in the room anyway. The ship is cleanly and looks good, old and dated, but good. So overall, we were pretty surprised. Especially considering the accomodations on the Lido deck. :
