Our party of seven had its moments of pleasurable experiences, but we found the overall experience not worth the hype. Little kids enjoy seeing characters but their attention span to wait in line for hours just for a photo op is too much. Bigger kids would have more fun either at the Disney Parks or on a Carnival cruise - just saying.

Too small and not much more than a room with coloring books. We had a 4 year old, 10 year old and 11 year old so we experienced three areas - all about the same.

We've always heard that once you go on a Disney cruise, you'll never want to go on a competitor's cruise - this was absolutely false! Although the staff was pleasant and mostly attentive, the experience was not "better" than any other cruise we've experienced.
Ship Quality

Nothing extraordinary. Be cautious of the elevators - my father's arm was cut in two places when the door closed on him (elevators are also very small). Sadly, not a single Disney staff member followed up on his condition (he is 76). All that was said was "we'll get engineering to check it out".
Cabin / Stateroom

Typical interior cabin size, it served its purpose and we had no complaints. Our room attendant was great and he kept everything very tidy and fresh!
Ship tip
Don't do it! The Disney experience is meant for the Parks. If you want to experience a cruise, especially with kids, go Carnival.
Didn't get to visit this port due to closure. We were told it was inclement weather, but we highly suspect there's more to the reasoning especially with it being Mexico.
What a joke! Instead of disembarking by assigned color system, they announced what was presumed to be the top three Disney Vacation Club levels and then it was a free-for-all. Very unorganized and chaotic!
Disney is almost as polarizing as MSC. There are those who love it and those who thought it was going to be more than it is. I’ve been on the Magic’s twin ship Wonder. That is not true that the kids club is just a small room with a coloring book. Anyone can look on line to see them. That is the one place Disney ships blows the others out of the water. Character lines are maybe 15 minutes each, just like at the parks. Characters do walk around and one night there are numerous characters out and about with no lines. But agreed overall it’s not that much different than any cruise. Definitely not worth what they normally charge.
I’m sorry the experience didn’t live up to the hype. We did a Disney Cruise several years ago. We enjoyed the experience; however, the kids we traveled with were a little older. Thanks for your review.
