Review summary

So...this should have been a 5-star review given the staff and amenities...food...design...all of that. However, they decided to do demolition in one of the kids areas RIGHT UNDER our room. So our days were full of hammers and saws and sanders and jack-hammers...and so were our nights. This may not have been "as big" of an issue for someone that didn't have an infant that needs several naps throughout the day...but ours did...so it was. The first night it went until 10 at night - until I called Guest Services and said if they didn't stop it, I was going down there myself. This continued the entire cruise (though only until 9pm the second night and probably 8 the following). It was unbearable. They admitted they made a mistake in allowing it to happen with the surrounding rooms booked, but the reality is, someone knew it would be more fiscally beneficial to just deal with the complaints after the fact - and ruin someone's vacation (which they don't care about obviously). I'm a big fan of Disney (former season pass holder at DisneyWorld when I lived in Florida)...but this was unacceptable. They did comp some stuff...but it didn't come close to making it right, as this our wedding anniversary - our first vacation in 5 years - our first big trip with our new son...and quite frankly, it ruined the whole experience for us and didn't come close to the cruise price + airline tickets + hotels + rental cars. They did offer 25% off our "next" cruise, but the experience was so bad - not really feeling that's enough. It's one thing to look back on it, but remembering how frustrating it was in the moment and not being able to get ANY relief...just can't forget that. I tried to be fair by judging each thing independently, but if there was an overall rating - it was get 1-star - and only because that's the minimum that can be given.

Food and Dining

Great selection - amazing staff - Palo's was really good and had a great environment and really good drinks.

Onboard Activities

We went to a couple of the trivia nights. We had our 9-month old with us, so we used the Day-Care option a couple times. Unfortunately, there aren't a lot of spots for children that little to crawl around. The room was fine, but not great when little man is learning to stand and falls a lot. Lots of rough edges and drawers that aren't child-proofed. Would be nice if they had a big padded play area. The "Splash" area was small, but he loved that.

Entertainment

We didn't attend any shows.

Children's Programs

We just used the Day-Care, which was great (so my wife and I get have a little time to celebrate our anniversary), but there weren't many slots.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Staff was awesome. Across the board. Super kind and just full of energy. They loved our infant, which was great for him.

Ship Quality

I liked the layout. Everything seemed very clean. Love that they had a laundry area and somewhere that I could iron my "fancy" clothes.

Cabin / Stateroom

Room was as big as any other cruise room I've been on. The balcony was a little larger which was nice. The weather wasn't great for it, but it was there and that's not Disney's fault. I do wish it more infant friendly (drawers with child-locks, padding on some hard edges).
