Review summary

It was a long sailing out of NYC. We have been wanting to sail but still had school aged kid. It was a great cruise to New England and Canada!

Embarkation

It was very smooth. But we got there early and had to hang out like hobos for our port arrival time. Don’t expect proper announcements. We were standing away from the massive crowds (this sort of being right out of pandemic) and we didn’t hear the boarding start. Once we dropped off our luggage it was smooth sailing - ha ha.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We do not ever recall having a bad meal or dish on a Disney ship. We do recall that the buffet upped their game on the 2022 cruises we sailed.

Cove Cafe

5 out of 5

This was a nice place to hide from the masses. There are snacks in a case along the side of the bar and the drinks and coffees were great! The snacks are included but the drinks and coffee are extra fee.

Animator's Palate

5 out of 5

Do go to your main dining room. If it’s not pirate night you can grab a dish from any of the menus that evening. I ordered the soufflé for dessert any chance I got. The animators palate is fun with the drawing parade night!

Topsider Buffet

Great for breakfast and lunch

Lumiere's

Do go to your main dining room. If it’s not pirate night you can grab a dish from any of the menus that evening. Lumiere’s is a beautiful restaurant!

Entertainment

Stage shows were fantastic! Various music acts were all lovely. I don’t recall many DJs tho. I played as much bingo as I could!!

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our serving team were on point! Knew our names and drinks by day two. Our room host was phenomenal. They usually are! I thought it was so nice that the kids clubs were so welcoming to me (traveling with no kid) during the open houses - it was sweet to chat with them and be noticed as I was wandering the ship exploring!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
My second favorite ship! Love the layout and I appreciate Deck 4 promenade. Disney ships are always sparkling clean.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
We jumped on a deal - inside gty room. This was a standard inside. For us two- it felt tight. The super darkness was a little disorienting. I appreciated the curtain to keep the hallway lighting out as it illuminated the door way.

Ship tip

Eat all the foods, see a movie, if you see something in the shops- snag it. It might not be there later, plus you can return it if you decide it’s not something you love.

I live here.

Bar Harbor, Maine

Really pretty town. Literally, like a movie set! We tried lobster ice cream.

Saint John, New Brunswick

Sleepy. Not a lot of shore excursions. Probably my worst meal - we ate from what looked like a mall food court.

Halifax, Nova Scotia

Disembarkation

We did express walk off. It was not as chaotic as I envisioned.
