Review summary

While we still enjoyed our cruise, it just wasn't as good as previous Disney cruises. From the navigator app to the food quality to the lack of entertainment options, everything felt a bit off. All that said, it was better than other cruise lines we've been on, and we will keep cruising with Disney.

Embarkation

The covid testing and results process was chaotic. The port terminal seemed slapped together. Port Canaveral was nicer.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Palo brunch was excellent as always. There's a fixed-price menu for dinner. Anything else is a la carte and costs extra, so we canceled our dinner reservation. The food at the main dining could have been better. The buffet was good as usual.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Enjoyed pools, slides, fireworks, funnel vision.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
While there were only 2 shows, the one we saw (Tangled) was really good. There was seemingly no other entertainment like past cruises. The video on demand feature on the stateroom TV was agonizingly slow.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
As usual, everyone was amazing.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
First time with the door on the side (stateroom parallel to hallway instead of perpendicular), and it felt more spacious.

Ports of call

Castaway Cay (Disney Private Island)

The food left a lot to be desired. Overall, we had fun. My wife and daughter had a blast at the mojito tasting experience.
