Review summary

There is a reason Disney is rated number one in the cruise industry. From the moment we checked in we were spoiled by the DCL staff. Food was excellent and there were so many things to do and see daily onboard the ship. Loved the rotation of the dining venues at dinner and our experience at Palo, the only specialty restaurant on the Disney Magic. This was a Halloween on the High Seas themed cruise so throughout the whole cruise we got to enjoy lots of fun little extras like costume contest, story telling, and trick or treating. I’ve been on over 10 cruises and nobody even compares to the experience you get with Disney!

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The food in every venue was AMAZING!!! Loved the rotation of dining rooms every night, and highly recommend cabanas for breakfast in the morning. I also HIGHLY recommend Palo for lunch or dinner, it cost a little extra but is totally worth it.

Palo

5 out of 5

Palo dinner literally took my breath away! The food was phenomenal and service beyond amazing. The venue is also located just at the back of the ship, so if your lucky enough to score a window seat like we were you can see the beautiful sunset.

Animator's Palate

My favorite restaurant out of the three during our dining rotation. The food was excellent, serving staff friendly and outgoing, and the environment magical with the special shows and guest activities.

Onboard Activities

So many things to see and do daily. Make sure to download the Disney cruise line app so you can get your daily navigator at seas on your phone to pick out and schedule activities.

Entertainment

The shows in the Walt Disney theater were just as good, if not better then some I’ve seen on broadway.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Disney cruise line staff are what make the journey so magical. They went above and beyond every day to make sure every guest enjoyed the experience. Our travel party had special dietary needs and they made sure in every restaurant and venue that there was something we could eat. Not once did a crew member turn down a request or act bothered or annoyed.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
It’s hard to believe the Disney Magic is now over 20 years old! Everything was in pristine condition and crews were always out and about cleaning and working on things to make sure it stayed that way.

Cabin / Stateroom

Great cabin and location. Loved having the separate bathrooms, made it so easy for two people to get ready at the same time.
