same as roatan..stick to ship excursions
duaghter and granddaughter swam with the dolphins...loved it. expensive but worth the experience at least once in your life.
Coxen Hole, Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras
skip it. stay on the boat...there really is no place to go.
very user friendly. great food. ride the trolleys. $3 day pass...beats walking at the end of a long day. and of course...the French Quarter.
Norwegian Dawn
you can not get to all the 4th deck rooms (4500's)from the same place. You have to get back to 7, midship and use that elevator only. spoke with some people who used walkers and they said they didn't realize that when they booked. It's an old ship.

we booked this cruise with family for thanksgiving week because it was the week that everyone could get away. We received the Speciality Dining as part of our package. /and were NEVER able to book the restaurants we wanted - cagneys steak house. Norwegian oversold this particular option and all the restaurants were completely booked when we boarded the ship. We have gold status (only need 10 more for highest level) and didn't realize the significance of having to know what you want for dinner 8 months out. Cagneys was wait listed with over 140 names. We never were able to access. We had done this cruise on the pearl about 6 years ago. This one was a total failure in making us feel valued and "pampered". Two of the ports now have guards with machine guns in the departure area. ONe port (Honduras) has a sign posted that says they don't recommend going off on your own. Really? why is NOrwegain still going there? We have pictures we took with the soldiers in Belize.
. Our balcony room steward, Mr. Roy, was perfect. Always smiling and knew your name the very first night. The beds were quite comfortable. Tendering was a nightmare. Our status should have allowed us priority tendering but none of the staff knew what we were asking for...even printed on our room cards. Service in the Venetian dining room was quick and accurate. The experience in the Aqua was quite the opposite...it took over 2 hours to complete a dinner service. I can not define what the failure was, exactly, but we make the best of it enjoying our family time. I honestly feel it was the itinerary. WE have done 19 cruises and this was by far, not only the worst but the worst one on Norwegian.
