First off, after our 7th cruise on board Carnival and getting lots of freebies, this ship had no freebies for us. The refrigerator door came off in our hands. Had a cold shower on Friday, March 11th due to faulty hot water heater. They turned off the water on Thursday morning to flush out the system, something that could and should have been done while in their home port. Food choices were just average. Buffet line for breakfast was identical every morning. Lines for the comedy acts were way too long and no seating was available even before the shows started. Wife was expecting $300 gambling money only to find out that as not true. This is probably the last cruise aboard Carnival.

Our cruise aboard the Carnival Valot
It was really nice overall. This was our 14th cruise and it went on without a hitch. Everything was perfect. Our head waiter, Zefry, was very professional and got us anything we wanted so we could enjoy our meal. Our stateroom was kept very clean and he would take care of everything while we were out of the cabin. Since we are gold card customers, we were given little perks everyday including a bottle of champagne, chocolate covered strawberries, cookies, and free bottles of booze from the casino. We were treated very well. Looking forward to our next cruise next Spring.

Way too many people for the crew to handle. Embarkation and disembarkation was a disaster. Way too long for both. I followed the line off the ship down to customs and out the door without my luggage. No signs indicating where to go for luggage. Had to find a porter to get me back inside to find the suitcases, then had to go through customs again. More paperwork. It took 2 hours from time we left the cabin until we reached our car. They charge for entertainment. $29 for regular seating and $39 for premium seating. I have never had to pay to be entertained. The ports of call were nice. It rained in St. Thomas which curtailed activities.

DON'T GO ON IT UNTIL IT IS FIXED RIGHT.
We went horseback riding along the ocean and it was the best experience we had of the whole trip. Treated well and time spent was excellent.
Natives will get in your face as soon as they see you coming so they can sell you their junk. Makes me feel uneasy. I felt like I had to watch my wallet all the time.
We had six cruise ships in port all at once, so Cozumel was packed with people. Couldn't get waited on in restaurants. Again, natives in our face selling junk stuff. Even had beggars trying to get money from us. Very unsafe and uncomfortable.

Don't do it! The only thing that went well was getting off the ship once back in port. They add $14 per person per day for steward services. You have to make a reservation to see a show or comedy act.
Norwegian Epic
Yes, don't go on it. You won't enjoy it at al.
Carnival Conquest
No cocktail party for passengers Silver and higher this time. Go to the shows early to get a seat.
Mahogany Bay, Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras
Take the horseback riding tour along the ocean front. Fantastic. Guide was excellant.

I enjoyed the comedy club and saw several shows. The casino was usually packed in the evening and it was hard to find a slot machine that was open for play.
