The glass bottom boat excursion was nice as you get to see the underwater statues created after the two hurricanes that devastated the island back in 2004.
The Jeep safari and beach excursion was nice; and the tour guide (Angus) was the best. Once again taxi drivers can be persistent which can be annoying.
Didn't really get to see much of Antigua. The taxi drivers however are very persistent which can be annoying.
Frederiksted, St. Croix, U.S.V.I.
Enjoyed Rainbow beach which is right down the road from the cruise port. You need to be driven there which is no problem.
Convenient shopping and very nice excursions. Did a snorkel and beach excursion that was nice.
Did an excursion in PR on the way back which was nice. Was able to walk through Old San Juan before being transported to the airport for return flight.
Jewel of the Seas
You have to remember there are a lot of people on the ship. So on the day you are out at sea, the pool area can be crowded and choice lounge chairs hard to get if you are not out there early. Even though the ship is huge, you will still feel at times the ship rock while moving.
This was mine, my wife, and my daughter's first cruise. We expected to have a good experience but Royal Caribbean exceeded anything and everything we could have thought. The staff (professional and courteous), service (high quality-five star), and ship (simply beautiful and breath taking) were excellent in every way. Royal Caribbean made our vacation experience a dream come true and one we will never forget. We would recommend Royal Caribbean and Jewel of the Seas to everyone.
