Not the best vacation at all....
I was looking for a quick, relaxing getaway and unfortunately this did not live up to that expectation. There were so many unruly children on board whose parents just let them scream, and roam the ship without supervision, that any adult that was on the ship to relax and enjoy its amenities didn't have a chance. The very small 21 and older serenity deck was always packed you couldn't find a chair because of the number of people looking to escape the same thing from the rest of the ship. Catalina is a beautiful port, however, Ensenada offered nothing really of enjoyment or relaxation as many other ports of call do. And unless you are very much into the Vegas type lifestyle, the ship really doesn't offer anything but. What happens to those of us who live in Vegas and deal with the casinos and the clubs and just want to get away from all of it for a little while? I was hoping that the ship offered other things to do besides the nightclub life and casinos and kids activities. We did enjoy the comedy club that we went to one night of the trip. If you are looking for a relaxing getaway with quick but beautiful ports of call, this is not the cruise for you.
