Such a cute town! And visit the Brew Company and have a Spruce Tip beer. Delish! I wish we could have taken it back on the ship!
Salmon capitol of the world. Run down city. But I heard the best trips were fishing. Again you can fish and see lots of wildlife while you do it.
Vancouver (Canada Place), British Columbia
HOMELESS people all over downtown Vancouver and so many people smoking cigarettes. I don't need to go back there ever again. Don't stay in Downtown. Granville has less homeless people.
The Marine Life Center is a must see. We had the nicest person tell us all sorts of information about the birds and sea life. There is a petting area. That person had a lot of information to share as well. It was my daughters favorite part of the whole trip!
Icy Strait Point (Hoonah), Alaska
Wish we could have stayed longer. If you want to see Bears, here is the place. Some people went fishing so they got to see whales, bears and caught fish which could be the best money spent!

We watched the Hubbard Glacier from the indoor pool area. It was a great view, warm and dry! Easy access to get outside, which you should do because you must hear the sound of the ice calving off the glacier. It's very unique.
I am not a fan of cruising and this trip did not change my mind. I will say I was very pleased with my room. Everything worked well and I thought we had enough space considering it is a cruise ship. The food and service was very average and the entertainment was slightly below average. The best part of the trip is Alaska, not the cruise.
