Our favorite stop. We did the Ultimate Snorkeling Trip and it was excellent. Plenty of time snorkelling.
We didn't do an organized excursion, however we did visit Atlantis. They now charge $45.00 for a tour.
Did the Bacardi Distillery which also took us to a fort. Good trip.
Boarding was very smooth. Get there early so you can park in the garage.
Did a trip to St Johns Trunk Bay. Views were excellent and the crew that took us there was very informative. Trunk Bay is beautiful.
Carnival Liberty
If you go to the 10th floor (Floor above the Lido deck) towards the rear of the ship (Each side) there is plenty of room to layout. The advantage is that there is an over hang so you can get out of the sun if you like, its also less crowded.
This was our 4th cruise with Carnival and we had a great time. The positives were many 1) The crew was excellent; very proud of Carnival and their Liberty. The cruise director was by far the best we've experienced. As far as the crew in general all were very friendly and our dining staff was just great. Julio, Nano, Miles, and Stefon took great care of us. Julio kept us laughing every night and we looked forward to seeing them every night. 2) As for the food...the change between this cruise and our last was significant. The entire menu (Dining room) changed for the better; much better. Obviously Carnival listen to their surveys and took action. The food was served to us hot and the quality had improved greatly. The ship itself was clean in all areas. 3) As for the excursions. We went to Nassau, St Thomas, Puerto Rico, and Grand Turk. At Nassau we didn't do any organized excursions we took a taxi to Atlantis. While at St Thomas we did a snorkeling trip to St John's, Trunk Bay. Absolutly beauiful just to short, but would still recommend the excursion especially for someone whose never snorkeled before. While in Puerto Rico we went on the Bacardi Distillery tour. It was very interesting and we had a very good time. We also made a stop at one of the forts which was built in the 1600's. Grand Turk was our favorite stop. We did the "Ultimate Snorkeling Trip". It was excellent. We've snorkeled all over the Caribbean and it was by far the safest we've experienced. We saw all kinds of fish and even a nurse shark. 4) The punchline Carnivals comedy club is a lot of fun. Four different topline comedians throughout the week; very funny. Overall I would recommend Carnival and the Liberty. It most certainly is a FUN SHIP! Can't wait until our next trip!
