Helpful VotesI am an avid solo traveler and have loved all of the cruises I have been on so far. My husband traveled for work and so no more for him. My sister was my travel buddy but passed in 2018. Now I get to meet many people and learn about many other countries, cultures, and traditions.

Cruise tips
The double decker bus was the way to see this, it had enough stops to take pictures and to grab items to eat. I am a history buff and so I again learned a lot about this area. Including that they have a lot of earthquakes, which I never knew they had.
Not enough time to see all the things that Sydney had to offer.

Port Chalmers (Dunedin), New Zealand
Weather kept us from visiting
It was fun and I did the excursion to Edwin Fox Museum and learned a lot of things about this ship that I had no idea it was involved in.

Wellington itself is beautiful. I would not do the Weta workshop or the Lord of the Rings tour again. It is just sites where they filmed but if you have not seen the movies, it really doesn't make sense to you.
This was another one where I did a history tour and the guide was very knowledgeable and again they had some very interesting locations that were part of the recent earthquakes and how they build them so they withstand them. California could learn from this.
Ovation of the Seas
Try all the venues before you decide what you enjoy best. This was the first time, I tried the other restaurants and happy I did.
