April 2015 - 16 Night Transatlantic Eastbound (Miami To Rome) Cruise on Celebrity Reflection

BEAUTIFUL SHIP WITH GREAT FOOD AND EXCELLANT PORTS

WE THOUGHT THE SHIP WAS GORGEOUS AND HAD GREAT FOOD IN THE SPECIALITY RESTAURANTS AS WELL AS IN THE DINING ROOM. WE DIDN'T CARE MUCH FOR THE BUFFET OR BEING CHARGED A FEE FOR CRAPES AND BURGERS. ENTERTAINMENT IN THE THEATRE WAS VERY GOOD BUT HATED THAT MOST EVENING ENTERTAINMENT WAS HELD IN THE GRAND FOYER WHERE THERE WAS NO PLACE TO SIT AND SPACE TO STAND WAS LIMITED. WE ENJOYED ALL THE SELECTED PORTS BUT TOOK MOSTLY PRIVATE TOURS THAT WERE EXCELLANT AND OFFERED MORE TO EXPERIENCE THAN CELEBRITY OFFERED

GREAT CRUISE...GREAT STAFF...PRETTY SHIP

I GUESS I COMPLAINED ALOT BUT THE WEATHER WAS GOOD AND WE HAD A NICE TIME IN SPITE OF THINGS THAT DID NOT HAPPEN ON THIS CRUISE THAT WE FOUND TO BE NICE ON OTHER CRUISES. WE STILL LIKE CELEBRITY CRUISES AS MOST PASSENGERS WERE VERY NICE, FRIENDLY AND THOUGHTFULLY KIND AND THE STAFF WAS PLEASANT ALSO.

To visit a different port nearly every day in Europe was fantastic

The Eurodam is a nice ship with a great cruise itinerary. We loved every port we visited and really enjoyed all the tours we booked. The ship's staff treated us very well and on the days at sea we enjoyed the movie theatre along with the DVD player in our room with an outstanding selection on DVD's available. We enjoyed shopping on the ship although it would have been nice if they would have had more items available from the countries we visited because most of our tours had no time to shop for small gifts. We would have appreciated a better variety of food especially seafood in the main dining room and because we arrived in our room very tired several evenings the after 10 PM menu for room service could have been better. The carpet in our balcony cabin was torn into two pieces and the cabin really needed to be updated. We will never understand why thy charge such an outrageous price to buy one of the photos that they have already taken and printed. It used to be fun taken home some of the silly pictures taken on the trip but we passed up these purchases and took our own pictures. In spite of these minor annoyances we enjoyed the cruise very much.

RC an expensive copy of Carnival?

Feel like I could have got the same experience on Carnival for significantly less money.  Ship was amazing, but the overall experience suffers for the size and scope of feeding and herding over 6000 passengers.  Particularly noticeable in the dining room, and unfortunately on the two formal nights.  Shows were great, but cabins were closets.  Specialty restaurants were very good, but getting around the ship was terribly cumbersome, mainly due to poor traffic pattern design and faulty elevator software (my guess...).  Bar service was great and same for the shops and excursion folks.  But I'd expected a much better experience than I'd had on other cruise lines considering the significant cost upgrade, but was disappointed.

SPECIALTY RESTAURANTS MURANO'S AND THE GARDEN RESTAURANT ON THE TOP FLOOR ARE PERHAPS WORTH THE ADDITIONAL CHARGES AND WE THOUGHT THE DRINK PACKAGES WERE WAY OVERPRICED UNLESS YOU DRINK VERY, VERY MUCH

Willemstad, Curacao

CURACAO IS ANOTHER VERY ATTRACTIVE ISLAND BUT THE TOUR WE SELECTED HAD MORE WALKING THAN WAS EXPLAINED IN THE DISCRIPTION OF THE TOUR. I HAVE TROUBLE KEEPING UP WITH THE PACE OF THE CROWD BUT THIS TOUR COMPANY DID PROVIDE A PERSON THAT HUNG BACK WITH US TO KEEP US FROM GETTING LOST AND WE REALLY APPRECIATED THI THOUGHTFULNESS OF THEM TO DO THIS

Kralendijk, Bonaire

WE WERE SURPRISED TO FIND INSTEAD OF AN AIR CONDITIONED MOTOR COACH FOR OUR TOUR IT WAS AN OLD DIRTY TRUCK WITH OPENINGS WHERE WINDOWS ARE EXPECTED. IT WOULD HAVE BEEN OKAY BUT THE ROADS IN BONAIRE WERE VERY ROUGH AND IN ADDITION TO THE WIND IN OUR FACES WE WERE BOUNCED ALMOST OFF OUR SEATS. HOWEVER, IT WAS AN INTERESTING ISLAND WITH THE SALT FLATS WE SAW AND WE WENT SPENT SEVERAL HOURS AT A LOVELY RESORT IN A BEAUTIFUL COASTAL SETTING WHERE WE HAD A VERY TASTY LUNCH.

Cartagena, Colombia

LOVED IT. WE TOOK A HORSE AND BUGGY TOUR AND IT WAS QUITE ENJOYABLE FOLLOWED BY A SHORT BUS TOUR OF THIS INTERESTING CITY

Cherbourg, France

WE VISITED UTAH BEACH ONE DAY BEFORE THE CELEBRATION OF "D-DAY" WHAT A GREAT EXPERIENCE

Cobh (Cork), Ireland

A VISIT TO THE CASTLE THAT IS HOME OF THE BALARNY STONE. IT WAS A LONG LINE SO WE DID NOT "KISS IT"

THE ECLIPSE IS A GREAT SHIP, WELL ORGANIZED WITH A FRIENDLY STAFF SO IF YOU GO---RNJOY!

Pretty sure the fore elevators are les crowded than the aft. And you'll see why that's important if you sail on this boat... Discover the Solarium (15 fore) early, particularly for lunch. Best non-complimentary value we found was the taqueria, but be careful you don't order too much.

Barcelona, Spain

BARCELONA IS A BEAUTIFUL CITY IF WE LIVED IN EUROPE THIS WOULD BE OUR CHOICE

THERE WERE JUST A LOT OF BEAUTIFUL AREAS TO ENJOY

We had tours from morning to night on all days except the two at sea so we didn't get a really good feel for any one thing to advise any one that may be helpful
