So let me start with the staff and crew were great. They did everything to make the trip as pleasant as possible and treated all guests with a smile. My three year old loved Camp Carnival and all the activities they had planned for the kids. They had parties, cupcakes, art and crafts, and Dr. Seuss themed breakfast. Even I enjoyed that.

Now, for the trip itself...the ship left port almost two hours late to accommodate flights that had been delayed due to the airport closings. That's fine it waited but I drove from Atlanta to Miami because my flight was delayed/cancelled and I wanted to make sure I was there on time. So the ship leaves and not even twenty minutes later the captain says we will not be going to Jamaica but Cozumel instead because of the bad weather. My only thought at that time was, surely the captain knew this before we left the Miami port and how come we weren't offered an option to get off the ship. Nor did they offer the option to offer free wi-fi to contact family and/or friends to let them know of the changes.

The following day the ship was going soooo fast making the waters rough I think about 80% of the passengers were sea sick...if not more. I have never experienced sea sickness up until this trip. Needless to say day two of the itinerary at sea was TERRIBLE. Not only to mention the captain announces we will not be making it to Grand Cayman but instead Freeport Bahamas. Again no option of wi-fi to contact family and/or friends.

Cozumel was ok but very crowded. Freeport was a bust because the beach was too cold to enjoy plus the island is still damaged from Hurricane Matthew a few months ago.

Overall this trip gets a two from me...maybe even a two and a half. I may take Carnival again but I would have to be offered a GREAT deal.
