Overall we had a good time, but there were a few issues. The slides and upper deck were closed 3 of the 4 days, cabin restroom smelled of urine, food was just O.K. - dinning room food was good, but the other food areas was more like cafeteria food, no activities (comedy show, bingo, etc) planned early - for the late dinner people, late dinner was TOO late - couldn't enter dinning room till 8:15 and didn't get done till 10:00 pm, way TOO many people onboard (mainly teens & 20 something's), had to wait in line for everything on the ship, the snorkel excursion in Freeport - snorkeling only lasted 20 mins - Crew started the 30 min clock from the time they dropped the anchor, by the time we got in the water we only had about 20 mins (advertisement indicated 45 mins of snorkeling), shopping was only at the resort, drinks at the resort were OVER PRICED and no alcohol. The ship is older, but overhauled in 2011, but it seemed drab. The staff was GREAT - friendly courteous, & attentive!! We'll do another cruise, not sure if it'll be with Carnival.
There are ALOT of jewlry stores in Nassau!
The snorkel excursion was too expensive for the little time we were aloud to snorkel, drinks were over priced & no alchol, the only shopping was at the resort.
Transportation is to/from hotel & then to the ship is expensive and not reliable, if you can find it. We ended up renting a car. This ended up best way to go - we drove around and found a wild life refuge.
Carnival Sensation
Bring power strip (surge protector). If you want to party, this is the ship for you! If you want to relax, you might want to choose another ship.
