Spring Break in the Bahamas (our first ever).
This was our first cruise with Royal Caribbean, and our first cruise from the USA to the Caribbean. We expected to do some sightseeing on a Bahamas Island,so we booked a shore excursion for Nassau. This cruise departed from Baltimore and had 3 port calls: Canaveral, Florida, the CoCo Bay, then Nassau, then returning to Baltimore over two straight days of sailing.
For a seven day cruise, we relaxed and enjoyed mostly balmy, sunny weather, good dining choices, and excellent entertainment aboard. (There was one night of rough weather, the first out of Baltimore, but after that things smoothed out; we were able to get a good night's rest despite the storm). Entertainment aboard was both at the upper decks poolside, and at night in the theater. The crew was very courteous, the food was prepared and served well (the variety of choices was notable), and the facilities and sanitation was excellent. The processing at embarkation and debarkation was smooth and instructions were clear, and our baggage was handled well.
The island-circling motor bus tour was excellent, educational and fun.
We chose Shopping; this consumed the entire time. Some of the preparatory lecture was insufficient.
Old & New San Juan excursion was educational.
Add a tip. What was your favorite thing to do here?
Labadee (Cruise Line Private Island)
Relax on the beach. Eat the barbecue.

For example: I did not realize that the pastries with Starbucks were complimentary if you asked, even without coffee

The Main Dining Room is excellent and the Windjammer cafe is an excellent alternative for informal buffet style dining.
The cruise was virtually on time for the entire schedule. There was only one delay in de-boarding the ship at one of the ports we visited, but it was tolerable enough not to spoil our day. The food and the dining service was excellent, and the range of dining venues was very good. The cabin attendant was excellent. The entertainment was first rate and plenteous. Activities were also plenteous and varied. The facilities were clean and well-maintained. The entire crew was appropriately attentive in all the important ways. The shore excursions we took were enjoyable and educational. We liked this cruise at least as much as any of the four previous ones we have taken. They are all pleasant memories in our relatively limited cruise experience.
