April 2014 - Emerald Princess to Caribbean - Southern
very good itinery, service and food within acceptable limits however the cruise did not meet my expectations as to quality of food and preparation of food,as well as service.
To be specific, the server at our table on two ocaasions sugested that certain items of food were not good,One time he told us that the fish stew tasted fishy and on another ocaasion she told us that she couldn't guarantee that we would like thhe meat served.
As to room service ,usually on cruises they prepare the little creatures that sit on your bed made with the towels folded in a design. Not that this level of attentiveness reflects on any thing that i really need but it does reflect upon the overall team effort ,including management as to making sure you have a great experience. This was lacking thoughout service on the whole ship. There were of course employees that were concieintous and went the extra distance but it was apparent that many didn't care.
There is no fat free dressing available on the entire ship,I made numerous inquiries but with no success. So if you are in to dietary issues bring your own fat free dressing. The overall quality of the food was also lacking it could of and should have been better.I have been on other cruises and princess in particular and know that for a fact.
Lastly and more importantly i have come to realize why they have safes on all ships and that is becusae house keeping i would assume sometimes may have a need to take a few items here and there.i am sure this happens on all ships. This is the second time I have had items that have disappeared from my stateroom so beware ,if you don't leave it in the safe you are asking for it to disappear.
In any event the itinery was very nice but management on this trip should have supervised staff better and had them excited and more enthusiastic about their passengers.
