March 2016 - Le Soleal to Other (Asia/Africa/Middle East)
The ship itself (Soleal) is nice and well maintained. The size is good--rarely felt crowded. This French line definitely caters to the French. They did take some extra measures for the English-speaking passengers, which amounted to about 30%.
The food was good, but not extraordinary, not living up to expectations for a French chef. The afternoon tea time snacks and pastries were basic, not too tasty, and repetitive.
The satellite television feed rarely worked. The engineer told me he needed to manually reset it to function after switching satellites. But he only took that action once, in spite of our requests to staff every day.
Overall, this line is not ready to be considered a high-quality luxury line.
