MSC Meraviglia

October 2023 - 11 Night Canada & New England (New York Roundtrip) Cruise on MSC Meraviglia

Eurodam

July 2017 - 7 Night Alaskan Explorer Via Glacier Bay (Seattle Roundtrip) Cruise on Eurodam

My sister and I just returned from the 7 Night Glacier Bay, Alaska, cruise on Holland America's M/S Eurodam. It was a wonderful cruise with great food, clean rooms, friendly efficient room stewards, great friendly witty Captain, fabulous shows, and activities all day long. There are a few things I would have liked better if done differently but I wasn't running the show so I made the best of what was offered. I really enjoyed the excursions at the different ports and if you are not a shopper then the time in the ports was plenty of time to take a tour or two of the surroundings. But if you are a shopper more time in a couple of the ports was absolutely needed. The service in the dining room was very slow but at no time was a waiter or wine steward standing around doing nothing. The food was good and was different from the food I am used to eating, so I enjoyed the change and tasting new things. The buffet on the Lido deck had many stations with different types of food at each one. Choices everyday were basically the same but with so many different foods you could eat something different every day. The desserts were awesome including the sugar free desserts that were offered. Iced tea, lemonade, water, and fruit punch were available for no extra charge but if you wanted a soft drink you had to pay for it, along with a 15% gratuity, and there were no free refills. The shows in the Mainstage and in the Lincoln Center Stage were absolutely spectacular. Our room stewards were the nicest and best. They knew our names from day 1 and never confused us (my sister and I look alike and are often confused by people who know us). Our room was always clean and we always had fresh ice no matter what time of day we returned to our room. I would cruise again with Holland America.
