Because I love cruising, I expected to enjoy our time on the Jewel of the Seas. And it wasn't perfect... because nothing is. But from the moment we stepped on board this ship, I could sense something different. Perhaps we were just lucky. But I don't think so because of the variety of customer service individuals who served us and went ABOVE and BEYOND the call of duty. From the bartenders in the Champagne Bar who knew our names after the first drink (and used them) and brought us special cocktails based on our preferences to the waiter in the Schooner Bar who noticed when we didn't come by. The service was excellent. The Dining Room staff of Rayfkin (our waiter), Valento (our assistant waiter), and Florina (Head Waiter) were simply the best we've ever had. In addition, the food and drinks were very well done and the crew took care to notice if we didn't like something (in all venues) and correct it if they could. We were told time and again that if something didn't meet our expectations, we should let them know so that they could try and fix it. This is a crew who is very well managed.

We really enjoyed My Time Dining (book in advance to make sure you get it) and came down early each evening to share a cocktail in the Champagne Bar during sunset. It became the favorite part of our day.
