Loved Alaska !!! Was very disappointed in our cruise ship. Staff wasn’t that friendly and there was very little to do . The food was outstanding as well as the rooms. I suggest anyone who has a chance to go to Alaska, but don’t sail Westerdam.

Nice way to see four islands without repacking. Inexpensive way to see Hawaii.

Fly to Hawaii. That’s what I would recommend. Five days at sea is too many on a ship with minimal activity.

The cruise: great setting (very clean and updated decor is attractive), fabulous food and super friendly and attentive staff. The ports of call give you a good taste of Hawaiian culture and sufficient time to enjoy activities in each community. I would have appreciated more activities and entertainment on the boat itself. PS. The coffee needs a bit of work - it was quite bland. 😊

Another great time on a HAL cruise. HAL fits us very well, we enjoy the quiet, few kids, smaller ship style of cruising. That is not to say it is for everyone, but we can not fault the line for anything. Staff are ALL friendly and go out of their way to ensure that you have a great cruise, I can only say do your research before you book, ensure that the line you book with is appropriate for you and your tastes but once aboard enjoy whatever comes.

Great getaway - you can hardly afford to stay home!

Suffice to say the Westerdam cruise was a great experience. I am writing this to hopefully advise you not to book cabin 1088 or any other cabin in the vicinity. Here are two reasons why: (1) The stabilizers are under this cabin and are used constantly while cruising and you will feel the vibrations and very loud noise as they are employed an deployed through out the night. (2) The kitchen is somewhere directly above and you will hear large carts being moved back and forth during the cruise. FORWARNED.....you will not get any sleep....

Great ship. Great staff. Good food and drinks. About to go on our second trip in the Westerdam. The rooms were renovated and bigger tv screens. The food at the pinnacle grill is awesome. Totally recommend it.

Cruising the Panama Canal was what I wanted most out of this cruise and it was even more than I expected. The staff made the cruise even more enjoyable. The only negative comments I can make is that there was very little interaction with the senior officers...

Someone said it was 50 Shades of Gray. That pretty much describes to weather. Missed Kauai but sometimes it just doesn't work out. Enjoyed the cruise just lots of sea days. The staff is all excellent and that makes for a pleasant cruise.

Just got off Westerdam after a Panama Canal Cruise from Fort Lauderdale to San Diego. Indifferent service - good at time and atrocious at others. In one specialty restaurant we were told if we wanted our vegetables hot we should have said so. Food well below the standard expected. Entertainment dire with a cruise director who was rarely seen. An expensive cruise and certainly not worth the money. A lot of unhappy passengers. My first and last time on Holland America.

Would not do another Caribbean cruise. Would prefer to pick an island and stay there

I have been on a variation of this cruise no less than 5 times and generally its a decent cruise. Issues within the city of Puerto Vallarta as it relates to tourist safety are my biggest concerns. The people there can become rather aggressive in their quest for your money. I make it my business to stay within the port boundaries when traveling there.

A great experience, a lot of fun nice meeting people from all around the world!more things were extra than I thought, like some gym! Some food!spa pool !

Did a 16 day Panama Canal Transit from Miami to San Diego. The Westerdam is a smaller ship so it was easy to get from one end to the other. The casino was non smoking so it was nice not to have to hold my breath passing through. The staff was friendly. The shopping crew found out we were celebrating an anniversary on board and had a cake sent to our table at dinner one evening...the cake was scrumptious! Photo packages we kind of pricey other than that it was a great cruise. Would do it again!

This transatlantic was totally relaxing and enjoyable. We won't hesitate to do another. Our cabin was very spacious and the ships staff and crew were friendly and attentive. The ship is well designed, and every area is accessible with plenty of elevators and stairways. The food was excellent; we highly recommend this ship for a relaxing and elegant cruising experience.

I enjoyed my cruise and visiting Greece and Rome. I will go back! The local residents were very friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. I highly recommend all the ports except Sarande Albania. Make sure you take plenty of Euros! You will need it.

Great HAL ship, lovely interactive crows nest. Great coffee! Very clean ship, well maintained and crew is wonderful. Ship is just a little too big for my taste.

Good Cruise. Would consider Holland America for another cruise. Probably Russian River Cruise. Would like more local selection of food in the dining rooms.

Great ports shame about Hollands new idea that people don't want to do anything on ship. Must say the worse cruise director I have ever seen. Missing in action is all I can say.
