Relaxing until the land journey, bad hotels booked

Definitely do Denali and take the free bus Park tour. You can’t drive in the park. Schedule an extra day there. Next time we’d do the trip in reverse with the land part first, followed by the sea

Over all we had a great trip. Nice ship and the staff was fantastic.

Overall the cruise was exceptional. The ship was clean and all the crew were very friendly and helpful whenever needed.

Super once-in-a-lifetime experience celebrating 50th Anniversary. Variety of onboard experiences including dining & entertainment. Friendly & competent international staff. Eclectic international clientele. Despite early shoulder season challenges, organizational experience is obvious. Shore excursions enhanced port calls.

The Land portion came after sea to Denali. The rail was fun to watch and listen to history but the narrator was sick and snarky and was short with folks who innocently interrupted his stories (what an egotist) McKinley chalet was great - make reservations for food in advance. Lines are a hassle. There's a Thai restaurant just outside on the main rd that looked real good. You could even get chinese takeout there too.

The ship, staff, meals, and our stewards were wonderful and we really lucked out with lots of sunny days!

I didn't do this cruise, I did the Hong Kong to Singapore back in November. It was most enjoyable, the ship was nicely presented, the staff were excellent, the food was good.

Great experience.. We have cruised Japan before and enjoyed both. This one was better than the previous one we had been on.

Best way to see 4 of Asia's biggest cities on 2 week vacation. Well, you do want to stay a couple of nights before and after the cruise to truly enjoy Hong Kong and Tokyo

Excellent services, good food, great musicians at the Lincoln center, BB King, Billboard. Good information and tips in the ports talks. They were very helpful and attended every requirement very quickly.

We loved this cruise in Asia. We travel to learn and grow and for goodwill with all people. This includes the wonderful staff and amazing entertainers in board. We loved the soeakers. We ate at Lido and did not drink because that's not us. We had an amazing verandah room and we were in awe. We did all our own excursions including an overnight Airbnb in Bangkok and a 6 hour cruise on Halong Bay. Life changing! I would go again.

It was terrific. We made the most out of all the amenities the cruise offered..the programs were wonderful..the staff so friendly and accommodating, the crew, so helpful, courteous, and competent. There were so many highlights for us, we travel extensively and this was a wonderful 13 day cruise to many interesting ports...we really did love the sea days and the friends we made on board.

Enjoyed the cruise, some of the shore excursions were disappointing, I would say as a rule of thumb if you want to experience a little essence of the city you visit, take the free ship provided transfer otherwise you find yourself on one of perhaps a dozen coaches at every venue visited. The Westerdam was nicely presented, the staff were amazing, the entertainment for the most part was good.

The cruise was fantastic. The staff were caring and ensured all of our needs were met or surpassed, the food was delicious and provided a lot of variety. The entertainment was first rate. The amenities were excellent. The cabin was well decorated and very comfortable.

I only cruised for 14 nights...from Vancouver to Yokohama. Overall it was an excellent Premium category experience and the Westerdam's refurbishment was excellently executed. Service was good, though I didn't feel it was particularly personalized (though many learned my name, particularly after I made a $200 gift to the Crew Welfare Fund). The Signature Suite was excellent, large and everything worked well. That said, the extra cost wi fi was so slow (much slower than I've experienced on Celebrity on the same itinerary) that it was extremely frustrating and - wi fi being important to me - would prevent me from again booking the Westerdam (or other HAL vessels, assuming the wi fi is not up to competitive standards).

The ships smells like a sewer. Although they upgraded many of the areas, the second deck smells horrendous. The second deck is also where BB Kings Lounge, the Billboard Lounge, and the casino are housed. the first floor of the main dining room is on this deck too. The officers did not speak to either myself or my husband which was disappointing. On Princess, Celebrity, and Disney everyone speaks to each guest if they pass them in the vestibule. I do not not recommend this ship or this line to anyone, regardless of their age. Actually, the age thing didnt really bother me. I am in my early 30s and my husband is in his late 30s. We traveled a s a multi-generational family and everyone (even my 85+ grandparents) said that they were bored on the ship. There is literally nothing for you to do. I wish we had taken princess or Celebrity as a family. We all would have had a much better time. Our room steward, Enjay, was pretty good. The dining room attendants were great and very friendly. The ports were to-be expected.I had traveled to Alaska before on the Disney cruise line. I just say that Disney is hands-down the best. They are well-worth the price. The entertainment aboard the Westerdam was horrendous. The folks in BB Kings are truly talented. But, those two singers in the dueling piano bar are the WORST. Where is Simon Cowell when you need him.
