The Captain did a great job positioning the ship in Hubbard's bay to get maximum time and best views of the glacier. All the ship's staff were terrific.

Great food and beautiful room. Spa was overpriced!

Holland America has very high standards and they exceeded our expectations. We sailed to Alaska three years ago and decided to see if it was as wonderful as we remembered. It was better. The food, the service, and the itinary were outstanding. Again, the food is exceptional, especially at the Pinnacle Grill. I am all ready planning our next cruise.

This is our first cruise and did not know what to expect. We certainly made the right choise with both Holland America, and the Alaskan Cruise. The ship was extravagant, and beautiful. The staff were very well mannered, and there at every turn.

Upon arrival to our ship, the Westerdam, I noticed the elegance of the ship. Small details, such as the store fronts with nick knacks, just made it look like a small shop in some little town. It was kind of homey and I like that. Our room was very nice with a big balconey. We were missing our TV remote which our room steward was able to replace that evening (with some reminding). Before our evening meal our table location had been changed two times. Not being thrilled with being bumped from our time and table location, we spoke to the staff and were able to get a great table and back to our original time. However, we still were not seated with any other guests, which I had requested when arragning the cruise. Oh well! One of the things I noticed about this cruise that was very different from other cruises...nobody tried to sell me anything. Not on the ship or at the ports of call. It was nice. It was up to me to make contact of I wanted something. How nice! As far as the places we went to, I really loved the inside passage cruising. The view was wonderful! I took so many pictures. We also went to Juneau where we did a helicoptor tour of the glaciers. Very nice. We also went a wildlife tour where we saw whales, otter, sea lions, seals and a bunch of eagles. It was also beautiful. Prince Rupert was nice, but small. And Victoria is a beautiful town where we took a bus tour. I would now like to do a carriage tour of that town! AS for the food on the ship, it was good, but honestly, I don't notice a big difference in it. Service was great, as expected. There was no big shows in the dining room. I'm ok with that. The shows on board I thought could have been better, but I didn't go there for them. I went for the scenery and got it. As for getting off the ship, it was the easiest ship I've ever gotten off of. This cruise and Disney have the best disembarkation from my experience.

The ship was very nice. Our cabin was excellant. Food in the dining room was also excellent but inconvenient for dinner, much prefer "free style" dining. Lido restrauant had good entrees & salads but long lines & many times ran out of items. Rarely were there sugar free deserts, which was unfortunate for my diabetic husband.

I believe that beauty lies differently in each individuals eyes and to say the least our cruise was BEAUTIFUL, from start to finish....The ship was lovely...from the decor to the marvelous and meticulous buffets, to the crew whom were all amazing, and last but not least....The scenery was breathtaking at every port...each day was a wondrus adventure and each turn of every hallway on the ship we were greeted daily by a beautiful sight or a never ending smile by the happy attentive crew members. Cruising before on Holland America brought us back again and each and every time we have embarked on a cruise with this truely top of the line company we have enjoyed ourselves more each time. All in All a top notch company with top notch personnel, our hats off to Holland America.

The ship was operated in a very safe and courteous manner. I think that the artwork displayed daily was very uninteresting. Alcohol hand cleanser dispensers were well placed and more of them would be good to stop/slow the spread of sickness/disease. Well organized to get on the ship and off the ship quickly at all ports. All the ports were good choices.

The Westerdam is beautiful. Only 2 years old, it was built in Italy and has bits of Italien design throughout the ship. It is spacious with lots of areas for relaxing. The main stage has everything needed to put on first class shows. The ship feels elegant. Plenty of areas to watch the beautiful scenery. Lots of comfy chairs. It never feels crowded. It is also the prettiest ship out there with it's navy and white paint.

Holland consistantly offers the best accomadations, food and unequaled service. Hollands Signature of Excellence program shows throughout the Holland experience. We have sailed with Holland for 8 consecutive years, always a raving fan.

Beautiful ship and very clean.

This was our second sailing with Holland America. We cannot praise them enough!!!! The ship was so clean throughout. The staff was very courteous with attention to details. Our dinner in the Pinnacle Restaurant was 5 star. We also highly recommend the spa and hydropool.

The staff were very polite and catered to any request made. The ship was kept clean and there were stations to sanitize your hands everywhere.

Small older ship that really needs updating. Food quality needs improvement.

We had a relaxing enjoyable week on Westerdam. Crew were all excellent. Food was a high quality and always had a choice. Happy hour is good value!

Second time to Alaska on a cruise. We purchased excursions for whale watching, and watching bears in their natural habitat. The staff on the ship was excellent and appreciative to us.

Other than our schedule was rushed we love this cruise.

Overall Excellent The food and the crew were excellent the ship was very clean and nice. Not really a cruise for families with young kids more of an older crowd which was fine for us. No big Broadway type shows but the music walk was great. We loved that the only smoking allowed on board was out side Aft of the Lido.

What a great introduction to southeast Alaska! One negative note - the wifi on the ship is very poor unless you pay to upgrade.
