Review summary

HA has become our cruise line of choice. The Westerdam did not disappoint us in any way. Great food, service and an elegant ship. Planning our next cruise on Ha as I write this.

We have taken our boys on several and they have always enjoyed the cruises. There are more people their age group on the 7 day cruises or Europe in the summer. The only time it was a little bit of an old crowd for them was the 14 day Alaska trip round trip Seattle. They are now 16 and 19. We have been on Disney as well. Under 12 and it is the way to go, otherwise HA is great for children.

HAL does have a program for children but we have been on 7 of their cruises and there have never been many kids on them. Westerdam is our favourite to date but going on Zuiderdam in April. We enjoy the size of ships that HAL has and there are many places we have not seen yet that are on their itineraries.
