The Good, the Bad and the Ugly!!

Sail Date: January 01, 2014

Reviewed: 3 years ago

Traveled As: Large Group

Room Type: Suite

The one week cruise to 4 islands was a great itinerary if you like beaches. The sea was around 80 degrees\, so we really enjoyed swimming in each port. There were 2155 passengers on board which made for long lines and not enough deck chairs.

Pros: The port of Half Moon Cay.

Cons: The condition of the ship.

Recommends Westerdam? No.

Ship Quality
The ship is showing wear and tear and needs a facelift. The decor is tired and outdated. The cabin was clean.
Food and Dining
The dining room food was very average. The service was good. It is frustrating to have only a 5:30 or 7:45 seating in the dining room. We were a group of 12 and wanted to eat at 6:30 but couldn't do it in open seating.....
Cabin / Stateroom
The Signature Suite is large and very comfortable. It is also in need of a facelift. We had 4 repairs done on the cabin in 1 week!
Service and Staff
The stewards were excellent!
The entertainers were good\, but the sound was so loud that we left early because our ears HURT!!
