As expected.

Traveled As: Large Group

Room Type: Balcony

The captain chose to skip one of the port stops. But that port could have been the whole reason for going, for some.
Had to order old movies in room one by one via dvd to room which was slow coming and going.
Should allow connection to phone, internet, cable, at ports, but don't.
TV channels available were not plentiful. Ones with CC were rare. 2 or 3.
Summary would be not to bother if you are handicapped.

Pros: Scenery

Cons: Construction of boat and information available.

Recommends Westerdam? No.

Ship Quality
Fire drill was painful for handicapped. Had to take elevator half of which were purposely shut down to simulate a real emergency. Took us at least ten tries
to get one with room for a scooter. We were the last ones waiting even though we got there early.
If the elevator was full the result would be you had to push the call button again and start over. After the simulated emergency the wait was reduced to two or three times.
Food and Dining
Buffet restaurant was useless for handicapped. Unfortunately that left only one normal restaurant. Everything else was either bar type or pay.
The whole boat forces you to buy all drinks except those with meals that are not alcohol. Even water in the room, unless you drink from the tap which was chlorinated. If you are cheap, plan on being thirsty the whole trip.
Food quality was okay in the restaurants.
In the room food quality was mostly poor but not if you like institution type food. There were a few exceptions.
Delivered to room food was slow coming and very slow to pick up the trays.
Cabin / Stateroom
The beds were oddly shaped in that they were high in the center which is the opposite of what you might expect in order to help you remain in bed on rough seas.
The curtains would not close all the way.
The bathroom entrance was a large step up.
The tub was useless as you could not lay back since it's side were 90 degree vertical.
The tub drained very slow.
The shower had to be faced towards the shower curtain because if it hit the walls it would be funneled to the bathroom floor.
The floors and furniture on the balcony were not compatible. When moving the furniture a loud sound would emanate like chalkboard. Just ask my neighbors.
Although the shower had grab bars they were in no other way accessible for handicapped. My mom had to forgo bathing for the entire week.

No cable or internet. No room to say more in these ratings spaces.
Service and Staff
No complaints here.
Mostly for drinkers and dancers.
Information about the inner workings of the ship and it's features was hard to come by.
Did not know anything that was available in detail. Had to go to the location or ask the operator.
