We had a wonderful time in Alaska. Alot of the people on the ship were older but were well rounded and very active. We picked this ship because we were not taking our children and did not want to be around a bunch of bratty kids running around like you hear about sometimes. We saw a bunch of 3 generation families with grandparents, children and grandchildren. All ages seemed to be having a great time. They had a childrens program. We met wonderful friends duiring our fixed dining time and enjoyed their company through out the cruise on excursions and other events. We very much like having that option rather than having to make reservations or wait in line. It was my husbands first cruise and my second. We both loved it and he is ready to sail again on Holland. This says alot for Holland because he is very selective. The Glacier National Park was the best stop by far.

Pros: Our room with a balcony, service food and shows were wonderful

Cons: nothing significant

Recommends Westerdam? Yes!
