Relaxing cruise

Sail Date: March 11, 2007

Reviewed: 6 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

Very clean. Excellent service. Crew trained/informed to accommodate. Seems as if they enjoy the work mostly, rather than a chore or working for a paycheck. As mentioned above, one or two ports had too many ships docked at the same time, causing more crowds than previous cruises, but overall things worked out and ok.

Pros: Being on board, most ports of call

Cons: some crowded conditions with too many ships in a particular port at the same time

Recommends Westerdam? Yes!

Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico
Shopping all over. Visited ruins. Poor country in land. Things may improve with time and development of lands near port for hotels/condo's, etc.
Grand Turk Island
Margaritaville great. Got involved with a contest. Local DJ pretty good/funny. Had fun, did a little shopping.
Don't Miss: Margaritaville

George Town, Grand Cayman
Enjoyed the snorkeling, but very crowded at the manta site. Had been there before at another time on a smaller boat with additional diving/snorkeling added to feature, easier to get around then. Very crowded at the time.
Don't Miss: Any underwater sport. Great water/things to see.
Half Moon Cay, Bahamas (Private Island)
Seems a relavtively new port stop. Not too many shops at this point. Maybe future will increase the size of options available there.
