Review SummaryThe ship and crew were an outstanding assest to the Holland America line. I felt welcomed, especially by our room steward. He was outstanding, he ability to grasp details that were important to us. Our cabin needs were meet every day and he was very discreet; never interrupting when we were in the cabin and working around our erratic times.
The dining aspect of the cruise was excellent. Not much to imporve upon, the service was impecable and also the head waiter was a big part of our experience, which was a first for me.. usually they show up on the last night, but this was not my experience.
The ports of call were very nice.... the establishments were extremely well kept and the recreation areas beautiful... it extended the excellent atmosphere from the ship to shore.
The on board activities were extremely well organized and the host were as much a part as the activity itself... truly enjoyed trivia, bingo, music, etc. The most enjoyable activity to witness was the superstart contest with the passengers - it was fabulous, the participation from the "performers" added to the feeling that the passengers were the priority and not the celebrities.
Again, an overall wonderful experience, a cruise line I would entertain using again, and would entertain repeating this same cruise.. it was quite nice.
Pros: The professionalism of the majority of the crew. Their goal was to make everyone feel important and that their time was valuable.
Cons: Late night entertainment: it was limited but again, the cruise is conforming to the majority of the passenger wishes.
