Review summary

Beautiful ship, friendly crew, excellent food and good entertainment is what cruising is all about. The Westerdam is a hit!

The weather was bad and we were supposed to have an excursion to the Mendenhall glacier. Unfortunately, Cruises Only did not make the correct arrangements and we wound up walking to the post office, in the rain, as our Juneau excursion.

Pros: Glacier National Park with guides, wildlife - whales, eagles, dolphins, etc.

Cons: the weather in Alaska is not ideal, but the sun came out at Glacier Bay and that was enough to salvage the experience
