Cruising to Alaska on Holland America was wonderful. Our ship, (The Westerdam), was amazingly beautiful. Everything was spotless and the crew went above and beyond for us. For example, we both require special diets and the dining staff would work out the meals with us the day before and prepared everything exactly right for us. They couldn't have been more accomodating. We have been on other cruises with other lines and none have come close to comparing to the staff and condition of the Holland America ship. As for Alaska - Wow! It was beautiful. We loved all of the ports and our excursions were great. We recommend booking excursions, everything was done very well and we had so much fun. The only complaint we had was two excursions left late because some passengers didn't show up on time. We didn't think it was fair to take away time from those of us that showed because people didn't get there at the designated time. Still, we had a great time, snorkeling, adventure carting, having high tea and especially dog sledding on the glacier. What a fantastic experience that will last a life time. If you get a chance to cruise - see Alaska's Inside Passage and do it on Holland America - you won't be disappointed.
Cons: waiting to leave on excursions because some passengers didn't arrive on time
