Overall, this is a very beautiful ship..nicely decorated, great art pieces abound. Plenty of space and lots of amenities (such as neptune's lounge). The Pinnacle Grill was fantastic..the food was great and the service was excellent..a must on this cruise. Overall, Lido Buffet and dining areas were top notch.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
Dining room service was the best I've seen. Quality of food was very good, much better than our cruises on other lines. We were always promptly seated and our head waiter took very good care of us. Pinnacle Grille is a must..fantastic food and great service.
Entertainment

This was a very disappointing area. As this ship was primarily an elderly crowd, most activities were geared towards their liking. We tried the trivia game the first night, but were told we needed a group of 6-8, and we needed to find more people. I would have expected the activity director to pair us with others in our situation..very disappointing. Other than bingo and the art auction, the musician was not our type, and the magic act was good, but again, not what we expected based upon previous cruises. No comedians and no other bands but the "halcats", who were marginal at best. Casino was smaller than most but seemed active..we visited there a couple times. cigars under the stars was great-met some nice people.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Everyone was so nice. For example, we'd be walking down the hallway and the person vacuuming the carpet would stop, shut his vacuum cleaner off, and say good morning or ask how we were doing..very nice. Room steward and head waiter were the best ever. Activities director was not the best. gym staff was nice.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Ship's size and layout was great for us..everything was easy access, and the glass elevators on each side of the ship are a must..great view and usually quicker than main elevators. Paintings and artwork on board were awesome-picasso, etc. This was by far the best kept and cleanest ship I've been on.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
We had the deluxe verandah suite, and it was great. King size bed, very comfortable, and a leather sofa with table. Plenty of closet storage, make up area for my wife, and the biggest bathroom I've seen on a cruise ship..two sinks, a bathtub w/shower, and a separate shower stall to boot. Our suite was always kept meticulous by our cabin steward.
There was nothing great at all about the private island. The tender process was a nightmare..took us over 20 minutes to get from the ship to the dock, mostly just bobbing on the open water. All deck chairs were taken, so we hit the bar. BBQ lunch was crowded and long waits in line (two ships to feed). Very disappointed..we tried booking the reserved "shells" over a month in advance, but were waitlisted
Very beautiful city, but not much going on. We did not book a shore excursion to a beach, but perhaps this would have made it better. Shopping was average and repetitive..same stuff every other store.
Been to most Caribbean islands, and this is a must. Shopping, sightseeing, restaurants, and Senor Frog's is a must..most fun i've had in a long time. Avoid the "tent" type vendors..cheap prices but cheap quality too.
