Traveled As: Family w/older children

Room Type: Balcony

The crew was very pleasant, but seemed disgruntled to be working there. Everyone was friendly; only a couple people went out of their way for us.
The fees charged were a real turnoff for me. I expected to pay for any alcoholic drinks, but the only free drinks were lemonade, ice tea and tap water. There were fees for certain exercise classes, which was really unacceptable. Then with the Johnny Rockets and Ben & Jerrys you had to pay for that food as well.

Pros: The ports and excursions were a lot of fun.

Cons: The fees charged for so many things.

Recommends Voyager of the Seas? Yes!

Food and Dining
Some of the meals were mediocre at best, but some of the meals were really very good. We had one meal at Portofino, which there is a charge for, but we had a coupon, and that food was excellent and a wonderful dining experience.
Service and Staff
I am bumping up to an average rating only because the ice skating show was really good. The rest of the entertainment was extremely hokey. The band was lousy. The ship needs to find much better entertainers and ones who have updated their acts in the last 20 years.
