good way to see Europe

Room Type: Balcony

The ship was enormous, biggest one we've been on yet. Our first cruise with RCL and probably our last. The itinerary was great and the accomodations were very good, but the prices were high. The ships registry make the VAT charges suspect, but we will file for return. the laundry prices are exorbitant and other items were very pricey. The ship's shopping was poor, all cold weather clothes for summer in the Med and not great deals on other things.

While we loved the places we saw, and the ship's staff and crew were absolutely wonderful, we will probably not cruise with RCL again.

Pros: having the ship be our "hotel" as we toured Europe

Cons: RCL is very expensive and gets you with a lot of little charges
