Voyager of the Seas Cruise Review
Hi, We just finished our first cruise and were so happy that we can't wait to cruise again. We took our 4 children, ages 11 - 21 and two of their friends. Because of such differences in ages, we were afraid of having something for everyone to do. No problem on this cruise. Everyone had something to do at all times. We sailed 12/15 - 12/22 and were overwhelmed by the sight of all the ships at the pier. We prepared ourselves for a long wait in the embarkation process but were pleasantly surprised. We made it through the line promptly and they even had cookies and drinks for those in line. We then boarded and were in awe as we walked on. The Voyager is absolutely beautiful. We had lunch right away (and never stopped eating the whole week!! ) The food and the service were great! I never met one employee of the ship that did not smile and say something nice. There was always someone cleaning, polishing, etc., so it was always clean. The captain was always informative, coming on the air a few times a day. Our shore trips were fun. So many to pick from! RCI puts out a daily newletter called the Compass, with tons of information about what is going on onboard as far as shopping, dining, entertainment, etc.Speaking of entertainment, don't miss the shows. They are wonderful!! The only thing I had aproblem with was finding a place to get a drink that was included in the trip. Lemonade was my drink of the week and could not find any served in the atrium. But, hey, if that's my only complaint, then it shows I was completely satisfied. Disembarkation went smooth and we were off the ship and at the airport in no time. One plus that we did not know about until we were leaving was that American Airlines has a check-in right at the pier where you pick up your luggage. That was so nice not to have to lug it to the airport with us. We will definitely be back!!!
