Review SummaryGlad to revisit the Voyager, we were very excited to make our reservations.
Leaving from the port of Galvaston, we were delayed due to fog. Before embarking, we were held in a terminal for several hours until the ship could dock. The cruiseline did a good job of making the best of the situation and got us on the ship as soon as possible. Still, due to fog, we could not leave until 2:15 a.m. the following day. The captain did a great job and we arrived at our first port on time. On the last day we were unable to go on deck due to high winds.
My husband and I sailed on the Voyager in 2000, shortly after it was built. We could see clearly that cut backs have taken place. Staffing, food, entertainment, etc.
Food and Dining
We were very disappointed that there was no midnight buffet. In 2000, we entered on the 5th floor of the dining rooms to view the spectacular arrangements from above, then we proceeded down to the 4th floor where we could help ourselves. That activity has been completely cut back.
