Review summary

So glad we booked this cruise as we had been talking about it for several years. Again the Vision of the Seas is a beautiful small ship and the service is exceptional. Captain Merik is so involved and you will see him all over the ship and always willing to talk with you. He also sings and is pretty good. I hope to book another cruise on the Vision when it goes to New Orleans toward the end of this year until March Bon Voyage

The specialty restaurant (Chops and Giovanni’s) were great. Had outstanding waiters at each. The main dining for my time dining was so so. Seems the menu only changed a few items new each day. The service was also great. Not sure if the food quality and choice of menu items are different for the smaller ships vs the mega ships.

The total service was outstanding. I have never seen a captain as involved as Captain Merik. He was awesome. I had seen other reviews before sailing how great Capt. Merik was and he did not disappoint.

Ship Quality

Design was good and the ship was very clean. You can tell this is an older ship as it is in need of some updating and maintained. I know it is due to go into dry dock later this year.

Ship tip

This small ship is able to go many different ports. It’s not a mega ship but she has everything needed to have a great time and the service from the Capt on down was outstanding. I would sail on her again because of the Capt and crew.
