Review summary

As usual, the staff and ship (RCCL Vision of the Seas) were outstanding.  Leaving from Colon, Panama, however, was not.  Have to fly into Panama City at least the day before.  50 miles to Colon.  Not impressed with either Panama City or Colon.  Just not my cup of tea.  Of the 2100+ passengers, only 300 or so were English as their primary language.  All of the staff spoke English.  But, a vast majority of the passengers were at best, inconsiderate, sometimes rude.  Ports of call, Cartegena, Columbia (Would not go back), Curacao (Nice), Aruba (great), and Bonaire (great).  My next cruise will leave from a US port and most likely will be Royal Caribbean.

We just came back from this trip .We used the BEST company there .Panama ON Wheels and the driver name is Gullermo. Tel:507-390-2322 email:info@panamaonwhels.com, You have to contact Mr.Gonzalo Horna, hen is the owner, speaks good English and it was a pleasure. We paid with Paypal so the transaction is secure. They charged us $45 form the airport to the city. For an additional $40 Guillermo took us to see the Panama Canal and Panama City with special tour in Casco Viejo that its a MUST. next day he drove us to colon for $95 for 2 people and when we came back he was ther on time to pick us up. Ask him to drive yo from the old road not te highway. the reason he will take you through a rain Forest park that is amazing. Tell him that Sara & Shlomo were highly recommended them. Sara

Thanks for the comments. How did you wind up getting from Panama City to Colon? A group of 6 of us are flying into PTY in a few weeks, and there is very little information about getting to Colon.
