First Cruise, had a blast

First cruise ever. Flew down to LA, caught the shuttle bus to the port, got problems. Awesome ship, friendly staff. Drinks were expensive but that was anticipated. Overall, a good time.

Party scene was lacking, especially for the younger crowd. I'm 22, went there with a group in the same age bracket and it seemed like we were closing down the lounge/dance club/whatever you want to call it...everynight. Lame. The first night we hit it pretty hard, a drink fell on the dance floor (after the DJ had asked not to have the drinks on the floor) and a couple of staff in uniform came out, asking several of us "why did you drop the glass??". Hahaha, yeah right buddy :) So, the ship "police" made it a little disappointing, especially after we had dropped $500 in patron and mixed drinks THAT night. But things picked up a little more the rest of the cruise and there were no further issues. Regardless, the party was always a bit slow and far less than expected. I think a cheaper cruise may be required to attract the younger and more party friendly crowd.

Carnival is what we're trying next.

Pros: Food, Staff

Cons: Cruise Police?

Recommends Vision of the Seas? Yes!
